The name "La Mente," meaning "The Brain" in Spanish, is befitting of this true architectural marvel that seamlessly blends artistic creativity and functionality. Situated at the TierraMitica retreat center in the magical high jungle of Peru, La Mente is covered by sculptures collectively conceived and executed of the subject of conception.  It is one of four extra large sized functional constructions in Plaza La Cuna meaning “The Cradle”, conception and pregnancy, birth, adolescence, childhood, and old age.  The sculptures around La Mente depict conception from the mind to the sperm and egg to the sexual act and to the vibrancy of life.  Inside it houses a recording studio while the walls are filled with murals of rock and roll cafes, animal bands and the ghosts of long lost musical greats.
