El Huevo - Amphitheater
El Huevo de la Vida, meaning "The Egg of Life" in Spanish, is an outdoor amphitheater crafted by Fantasyscaping and fashioned into the form of an enormous cracked egg shell. The creative designers intended for it to serve as a captivating stage for concerts, weddings and other joyous celebrations held at the idyllic TierraMitica retreat center in Peru. Guests enter the larger hollow half of the eggshell-shaped structure, containing gracefully curved tiered steps serving as seating for audiences of up to 120 people. The smaller half of the "egg" houses the performance stage where live music and other kinds of performances are played and is crowned by the sculpture of two enormous hands, lovingly holding a newborn symbolizing birth. Across the back wall of the seating area is a towering panoramic mural depicting a vibrant crowd of concert goers and partygoers painted by the collective participation of 60 people.
On the outside walls of the egg shaped amphitheater, a series of sculpted scenes in the theme of adolescence depict carefree teenagers having fun, pushing boundaries and discovering themselves for the first time. The scenes are exploring issues that adolescents encounter such as sexuality, identity, rebellion, life path, and others.
Right in the center of this magical amphitheater sits a fun functional sculpture fashioned after a classic WW2 Jeep Willys that has been transformed into a crackling fire pit, perfect for providing warmth, light and atmosphere during starlit evenings filled with dancing to the live music and celebrating life!
